This fabulous Japanese boy's formal kimono is a miyamairi kimono traditionally worn on a boy's first visit to a shrine. The gown is draped round the baby with the lapel straps placed around the mother's neck. This vintage kimono is part handpainted and embroidered, with a stunning hawk design, would make an excellent wall hanging. It is lined and comes with a white juban undergarment. The family crest (KAMON) is "hidari mitsu tomoe" (interlocked crests). Tacking used for storage can be removed.
