This is a vintage Japanese boy's kimono (and waistcoat), called a miyamairi, traditionally worn on a baby's first visit to a shrine with his parents. The kimono is wrapped around the baby and the straps attached to the front lapels draped around the mother's neck. The kimono has a checkerboard design depicting a rabbits playing. Seconhand good condition with staining possible.
