An haneri is a collar that is sewn on to a juban to avoid getting the kimono collar dirty. The black haneri collar on this gown has a silky feeling.
Shitsuke, a kind of basting or tacking used to keep garment seams neat during periods of storage, is present - simply remove when ready to use.
