An obi, traditionally worn with a kimono, is a wide sash that goes round the waist and is tied at the back with a large flat bow. A maru obi is the most formal type of obi and is used for ceremonial occasions. This maru obi is second-hand with a pattern only on half of the front side with plain black material on the remainder of front and the whole of the reverse. Some blemishes present caused by aging and general wear and tear.
